- IceDogs yank $1M arena donation; Council vows to fix it The difference between perpetuity and 20 years? In St. Catherine's, $1 million apparently. The owners of the Niagara IceDogs say they are pulling a $1-million donation to Meridian Centre citing two frustrating years struggling to finalize the deal with the city. The extraordinary move by Bill and Denise Burke comes after a lengthy dispute over the naming rights of IceDogs Way, a road which semi-circles the arena. ST. CATHARINES STORY (11/8/16)

$5M donation to help Carroll College build new student housing This gift is from an anonymous donor. The donor asked that the buildings be named in honor of two popular former Carroll professors, John Downs and Al Murray. Carroll College is a private, Catholic liberal arts college in Helena, Montana. (11/4/16)
Emory's museum gets $3M donation Chris Carlos will contribute to the Thalia N. Carlos Memorial Fund, an endowment named in honor of his mother that supports educational programs, museum exhibitions and other critical needs at Emory University's Michael C. Carlos Museum.
