Amtul Siddiqui
Amtul Siddiqui’s natural gift for friend-raising led her to a career of caring. She has been a strong advocate for diversity and social connections in the not-for-profit world for the last twenty years. Her activism has been both personal and professional with a focus on those who are underserved in the community or misunderstood – specifically women of colour and those of an Islamic faith. With roots in Idaho, Amtul was able to champion these causes close to her heart on the Latah County Human Rights Task Force.
After moving to Canada Amtul continued following her passion of connecting people and began a thirteen-year career with The Canadian Red Cross as Associate Director, Corporate Giving. When the disastrous wildfires tore through Alberta in 2016, Amtul stepped up as the National Lead for the Alberta Fires Fundraising Appeal – the key liason to the provincial and federal government.
Her firm belief that healthier generations are founded in strong connections brought her to Vivo for Healthier Generations, first as a member of the Board and now as the Senior Manager, Advancement. Amtul continues to friend-raise and fundraise, generating revenue and building strong partnerships, to strengthen communities and raise healthier generations in Calgary and beyond.
