Brad Jacobs
As the Chief Executive Officer of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation since 2012, Brad’s role is to set the strategic direction for the Foundation in partnership with the Cape Breton Regional Hospital to support its funding priorities and projects.
During Brad’s 19 years as a professional fundraiser he has managed fundraising programs and projects that have raised more than $125 million for health care, education and amateur sport.
During his career Brad has been actively involved in the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and has served on the AFP Canada Board, Chaired the AFP Nova Scotia Board and led the start-up of AFP Cape Breton. Brad has been recognized by AFP Nova Scotia as the recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Professional Fundraiser Award and the 2002 Rising Star Award. In 2017 Brad was awarded a Global CEO Excellence Award as the Best Regional Healthcare Fund CEO.
Prior to his career in Fundraising, Brad was employed in amateur and professional sport. His education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration (dean’s list) from UCCB (1994), a Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration (dean’s list) from Concordia University (1998) and is a graduate of the Executive Business Program at Queens University in 2007.
