kelly morris

Kelly is a results-oriented fund development and digital communications professional with an entrepreneurial spirit, innovative ideas and sound judgment.

An organized team player with superior listening and communication skills, Kelly has an ability to create collaborative relationships with all stakeholders. With over twelve years working with nonprofit organizations, she is a master problem solver with an ability to embrace change. Rounding out her experience, Kelly has developed and executed comprehensive strategic plans to enhance and meet the goals of the organization.

Kelly is passionate about building a better community through resource development, volunteerism and working with people who really want to better themselves and the organizations for which they work.

Prior to her work with ViTreo, Kelly served as the Associate Director of Development at the University of Calgary where she held positions in principal giving, annual giving and legacy and major gifts. One of her noteworthy donations while at UCalgary was working with the Silver Gummy Foundation, to create the new Professorship in Masculinities Studies at the Werklund School of Education.  This gift of $250,000 was made to commence the reduction of male-perpetrated sexual violence in our society.

Currently volunteering with her kids’ freestyle ski team, Kelly also manages the digital communication channels (web and social) for Freestyle Alberta. You will often find her at Mt. Norquay or Winsport chasing her kids down a mogul run. She also volunteers with the Calgary Folk Festival.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Public Policy from the University of Ottawa and is a current member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners. Kelly loves to ski and follow her kids in all their pursuits but also enjoys going to the gym, camping and plays the odd round of golf.
