KIM TAYLOR
Kim Taylor’s diverse fundraising background spans almost 30 years. Her experience includes capital campaign management and consulting at several post-secondary institutions including the University of Alberta, the University of Regina, the University of Manitoba, St. Mary’s College and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Her fundraising career also includes experience in health care, education, religion and the social services, giving her a broad spectrum of experience upon which to draw. Her successful leadership of volunteer and staff teams has helped win significant financial gains in the campaigns in which she has been involved.
Kim has spoken to conferences and staff retreats on the major gift process; moves management; multicultural fund raising; interpreting feasibility study results; recruitment and retention of major gift staff; the Ask; making the call; research and strategic planning; alignment of alumni experience and donor giving; and the marketing of capital campaigns.
She is committed to the evolution of the fundraising profession and has made a positive impact with a number of organizations in a variety of volunteer capacities, including President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Edmonton Chapter; as an International Delegate within the Association of Fundraising Professionals, as a Director with the AFP Canadian Foundation, and as a committee member for the Regina and Saskatoon Chapters of AFP. She regularly mentors fundraising professionals in the belief that a healthy fundraising community benefits everyone.
