Ron Bailey

Ron Bailey CFRE is a recently retired fundraising consultant based in Winnipeg. Ron has extensive experience with direct response, major gifts, feasibility studies, planned giving, sponsorships and charitable gaming.

Since 1992 Ron has worked with numerous clients in the health and community services sector. Current clients include the Seven Oaks School Division and the Cooks Creek Community Centre.

Ron serves on the Board of the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy- Canada, the Rossbrook House Foundation (Winnipeg) and the Philanthropy and Fundraising Committee of CNIB (Canada). Ron is also a member of the Board of LDIC Investment Council, a privately held independent portfolio manager serving clients across Canada.

Earlier he served on the Board of the AFP Manitoba Chapter including a term as president, the AFP Canada Council and was an instructor in the AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising course (Manitoba). In addition he is a past member of the Crown Corporations Council (Manitoba) and the Board of Governors of Red River College. 

Ron’s fundraising and marketing skills have been augmented through study and continuous professional development. Recently this has included participating in seminars presented by the AFP in Winnipeg and Toronto, the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Rotman School of Management.
