Winston Pei

Armed with a BA and an MA in English from the University of Alberta, Winston Pei happily wandered into a varied career in communications, design, technology, post-secondary advancement, and community-building. His resume includes time served in alumni relations and advancement services at the University of Alberta, corporate communications for a managed IT services company, owning and operating one of the first internet cafés in Edmonton, and helping found several companies and non-profit groups.

The common thread through all these activities has been a love of people and their stories, the tools and technologies that we use to preserve and share those stories, and how we can use those tools to (re)imagine, (re)design, and (re)invent organizations.

His current professional activities include serving as Digital Content Strategist for the University of Alberta Faculty of Engineering and President of the Kokopelli Choir Association, but his most important and rewarding job is hands down that of proud dad to his three children, whom he has properly infected with his own love of books and Lego.
