- Meet the Couple Behind Another Big "Small Town" Arts Give Yes, it's true, large gifts to the arts do happen in smaller centers too. The Indiana University Art Museum in Bloomington, Indiana recently received a $15 million gift from Sidney and Lois Eskenazi. (5/27/16)

- Cash Giving From Businesses Edges Up, Chronicle Survey Shows This Chronicle of Philanthropy survey indicates that $4.8 billion in cash donations were received by U.S. charities from 68 corporations in 2015. This is an increase of 2% over the previous year. Dealing with a significant image problem on the heels of the banking crisis and subsequent bailout, banks are playing a much more significant role in this giving than previously. (6/1/16)
- Individual donations fall to lowest level for seven years Interesting report from the U.K. Particularly interesting to see that giving by men in the U.K. is dropping. - Carswell Family Foundation continues giving trend with $1 million donation to York University I have said it before and I am saying it again, be nice to your staff. Good things will happen. - Blackbaud Donates $1 Million to Help Build International African American Museum Blackbaud's gift will sponsor the Digital Media Lab at the Museum. (6/1/16)
- Education Effect to expand into Little Haiti with $2 million donation This gift from Rose Ellen Greene, a longtime volunteer at Jesse J. McCrary Jr. Elementary School is being given to Education Effect, a partnership between the Florida International University and the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. - Four schools receive anonymous donation Four elementary schools in the Gainesville, Florida area will be splitting $1.5 million from an anonymous gift made through the Community Foundation of North Central Florida. - DSO receives $2.9 million donation A lovely gift from the estate of Dr. Clyde and Mrs. Helen Wu. to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Wu was a cardiologist who grew up in Hong Kong. The gift will be used to establish the Wu Family Academy for Learning & Engagement. (5/28/16)
