Central Park Nonprofit Launches $300 Million Drive The Central Park Conservancy, the nonprofit that manages one of the world’s best-known urban oases, is kicking off the public phase of its ten-year $300 million fundraising campaign. It has raised $112 million to date. It should be noted that NYC's Central Park receives 42 million visitors per year. As they say, "It's being trampled to death." (7/14/16)

Multi-Million Dollar Donation Spurs Restoration Of National Park Trails In Washington State A $2 million gift to the National Park Foundation from philanthropists Mike and Sue Raney, and an additional $1 million from The REI Foundation, is helping to ensure that two trails in two U.S. national parks will be restored. Both donations are part of the National Park Foundation's$350 million Centennial Campaign for America's National Parks. (7/20/16)
Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation surprises Marine Corps Heritage Foundation with $1M donation This gift will be used to to help expand exhibits honoring Marine Corps troops through history. The donation will contribute to the completion of the National Museum of the Marine Corps. The museum is located in Triage, Virginia. (7/20/16)
UMES receives $1-Million donation from Delmarva Power for campus green initiatives The University of Maryland Eastern Shore has received a one-million dollar gift for its efforts to promote a "green" campus and develop a sustainable workforce. The contribution comes from Delmarva Power. (7/19/16)
UCLA receives $20M donation from Margo Leavin for graduate art studios This gift will be used to remodel UCLA's Graduate Art Studios in Culver City. (7/18/16)
Future Generation announces donation of $4.71 million to Australian charities Cool concept. Still wrapping my mind around how it all works. Future Generation is a set of philanthropic wealth creation vehicles listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Half of the disbursement will be directed to children and youth mental health. The remaining half will be directed to children and youth at risk. (7/18/16)
Loyola gets $1.5M donation for sports facility renovation First NBC Bank has made a sponsorship contribution to Loyola University in New Orleans to obtain the naming rights for Loyola's basketball court. (7/15/16)
Warren Buffett makes $2.9b donation to Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Mr. Buffett is truly one of the most amazing people on the planet. This is his annual contribution to the Gates Foundation. Known for taking risks in philanthropy, Mr. Buffett (who is also the Berkshire chairman and chief executive officer) was quoted in 2011 as saying,"If you succeed in everything you're doing in charity, you're attempting things that are too easy," said in 2011. Featherstone Announces $2.9 Million Donation, Capital Campaign Featherstone Center for the Arts announced a $2.9 million gift from an anonymous donor that will help launch the center’s new capital campaign. Featherstone Center for the Arts is located in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. (7/14/16)
Conley makes major donation to Grizzlies Foundation Nice to see in the wake of the deaths of Alton Sterling, Philandro Castile and the shootings in Dallas.
